Vines are grown in altered magmatic rock called, Gabbro.  Harvested in the best conditions, the grapes are pressed immediately after selection.  The wine is light in color with green reflections.  The nose is mineral with an early expression. Enriched on lees, this wine is ample, full and mineral.  A nice structure in mouth, wonderful density and strong identity due to the soil made of Gabbro.

La Tour Gallus

Nestled in Gorges, within the village of Maison Neuve, the Tour Gallus estate boasts a rich history passed down through the generations. Damien, who assumed control of the family estate in 1983, represents the ninth generation, embodying a truly captivating family narrative.

Having earned recognition for its commitment to High Environmental Value (HVE) practices over the years, the estate transitioned entirely to Organic Farming production by 2022. Encompassing a vast 17 hectares, with 10 surrounding the cellar and 7 in the communities of Gorges and Mouzillon, the estate consistently produces approximately 30,000 bottles annually.

The diverse wine selection includes Muscadet, chardonnay, rosé, traditional method, and sparkling grape juice. Notably, Damien has chosen to extend the aging process of his Crus Gorges to an impressive 48 months in vats, surpassing the recommended 24 months specified in the guidelines.
