Tasting Notes

The depth and weight of this wine was structured by the warm growing season then cool autumn. This is a new vineyard for us at Leaning Post from the Four Mile Creek Appellation in Niagara on the Lake and the terroir really shines through, with loads of black cherry, mulberry, raspberry, with an amazing white and pink pepper spice over a background of moss and leather. The palate is complimentary showing bing cherry, blackberry, vanilla bean, anise and basil smoked sausage. The finish is fantastically long and smooth. This wine will age well for the next 4-6 years.
