Cultivation of vines at the Domaine du Grand Bourjassot is a long family tradition. On both the maternal and paternal side, winegrowers harvested Gigondas grapes. Pierre and Marie-Claude are no exception. But when they inherited the vines from their parents (located on Gigondas for Pierre, in Sablet for Marie-Claude), i.e. seven hectares, they quickly decided to leave the cooperative and create their own estate.
The Grand Bourjassot estate was established in 1993. The family tradition continued, their daughter Cécile – who in the meantime married a winegrower from Visan! (to whom she lends a hand in the creation of the Domaine de l'Obrieu) - joined them in 2001 and officially took over in 2005.
