Tasting Notes

Descended from a long line of winegrowers in Cramant since 1891, Pierre Hugot is the son of Françoise Le Doeuil and great-grandson of Hélène Wanner. Pierre has worked with some of well-respected domains in France including Comte Liger-Belair, Chavy-Chouet, Jean- Marc Roulot and Vaccelli. He then decided to back home and infuse a new energy by implementing sustainable viticulture. With each vintage, the Domaine strives to fully express its Grand Cru terroirs, in order to produce and reproduce
emotionally rich Chardonnays with the purity of the Grand Cru's limestone soil.

"This wine is one of the most riveting expressions of Chardonnay to be found, and is an absolutely terroir-saturated Champagne. It's crystalline, energetic, and has a sleek, chalky tension. I just adore the wine's razor-sharp, tactile grip, and fineness. The clarity of expression is simply thrilling.
