Deep purple with ruby tinges. Aromatic intensity and complexity with explicit presence of preserved red fruit well balanced with the touch of toasty notes from the oak. The entry is soft, but it changes showing unpolished ripen tannins together with good volume and acidity. Fruity notes with a mineral character at the end of the mouth. Long and fresh after taste. In good conditions of this bottle will evolve positively for at least the next 7 years.

The Cusiné family established the Gratavinum winery in the Priorat D.O.Q. of Spain, with a mission to create traditional wines rooted in the Penedés region. This family also possesses the Parés Baltà winery in Penedés and the Dominio Romano winery in the Ribera del Duero. The name 'Gratavinum' is a fusion of 'Gratallops,' the municipality in Priorat, Catalonia where the winery is situated, and the Latin word 'vinum,' which means wine.
Following the Cusiné family's winemaking philosophy, Gratavinum has held organic certification since 2004 and places a strong emphasis on preserving the environment and biodiversity of the area. The winery refrains from using pesticides or herbicides and avoids irrigating the grapevines, allowing them to develop deeper and more resilient roots, particularly during dry summer months. This natural approach contributes to the distinctive character of the wines, drawing from the micro-terroir's soil. Gratavinum occupies 17 hectares of grapevines nestled in the Priorato Mountains, grown on terraced plots of rich licorella slate soil. This terroir is characterized by compact clay sediment that has accumulated over centuries in the region, imparting a unique minerality to their wines from the Priorat terroir.
Gratavinum specializes in crafting wines from the traditional grape varieties of the region, Grenache and Cariñena, as well as two well-suited foreign grape varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The winemakers at Gratavinum have adapted their techniques and systems to produce organic wines that bring out the fullest expression of these grapes.
