Perched on the top of a hill, the Sanpaolo Winery, was founded by Claudio Quarta in 2006. The winery is located between the provinces of Avellino and Benevento and laid out on three levels on the slope of a hill.
The area is characterized by an extraordinary variety of soils - clay, calcareous, sandy with influences from the ashes of the Somma Vesuvius volcano. The vineyards are planted at up to 700 meters high, where the strong temperature excursion enhances the aromas of the grapes. The Claudio Quarta Vignaiolo vineyard is made up of small selected plots. It is partly owned and partly jointly managed with local farmers who share the production plans and the qualitative objectives of the company.
Sanpaolo winery is eco-friendly employing a photovoltaic system, which makes it energetically autonomous, and to thermal insulation that minimizes energy consumption. It is modernly equipped with small and medium-sized fully insulated tanks which promotes the separate vinification of each plot. The thermal fruit Cellar is where the drying of the grapes selected for the Passito happens. The beautiful barrique room holds precious barrels of different carats: barrique, tonneau and barrels, all built of French oak.
It's important to remember that taste is subjective, and personal preferences play a significant role.
