This wine comes from 70-year-old vines planted in volcanic clay soils of Campania. This isn’t just any old place or grape—it’s the perfect marriage of both, much like it is for Chardonnay in the Côte de Beaune or Riesling in the Mosel River Valley. Based on the structure alone, you might think this is Chablis, but the aromatics and richness of fruit point towards it’s origins. Perhaps the most incredible part about this wine, as with all of the worlds greatest wines, is its ability to pack all of this complexity into a wine that dances along your palate with incredible elegance.
"Benito Ferrara is one of Italy’s best white wine producers." - Ian d'Agata, Vinous Media
"The 2022 Greco di Tufo Terra d'Uva opens in the glass with a bouquet that blends fresh mint with kiwi and candied lime. It's soft and round with cooling acidity and crisp orchard fruits that find a lovely contrast through an air of sweet inner florals. This finishes dry yet fresh, leaving a mineral tinge and a pleasantly bitter sensation that calls the taster back to the glass. Benito Ferrara nailed it in the 2022 vintage—the balance here is remarkable."

The Benito Ferrara winery has ancient roots dating back to the dawn of the last century. Today it covers 8 hectares. All areas planted with vines are in the municipality of Tufo, the hamlet of San Paolo, in the traditional production area for the cultivation of the vine Greco di Tufo, and in the municipality of Montemiletto for the production of the Aglianico grape. The soils are ideally located between 450 and 600 m above sea level, with a southern exposure, a hilly and a medium texture texture.
The wealth of experience that has been handed down for generations with an innate love for their work and a cutting-edge cellar, enabling the production of fine wines, known and appreciated in the most demanding markets around the world.
The company was established in the second half of the last century by Benito, father of Gabriella, but wine production was already at the beginning of the 900 prerogative of Ferrara family in the small hamlet San Paolo.
Benito, an innovator and a visionary entrepreneur, understood what was most important for wine production and devoted himself body and soul - with his wife Michelina - to the foundation and development of new company.
Gabriella now runs the company. And with Benito's skill and dedication, the winery has established an envious reputation among the wineries in Campania and in Italy.
