Arnold Holzer is a fifth generation winemaker creating ethereal Gruner Veltliner. A classic Veltliner with fine acidity on the palate. The wine perfectly reflects the region Wagram. Clean and confident with white pepper and real punch. Lots to like and with a long finish.

The Producer

Eschenhof Holzer

The Eschenhof Holzer winery is situated in Großriedenthal, within the Wagram wine region. Here, the inventive winemaker Arnold Holzer harnesses the unique gifts of nature, employing a great deal of creativity, a distinctive approach, and a knack for crafting delightful creations.

The name 'Eschenhof' is derived from the oak trees that stand proudly in front of the farmhouse and the aged cellar along the winery street, where the red wine is stored.

In 2010, Arnold Holzer, a fifth-generation wine artisan, assumed control of the winery from his parents. His involvement in the winery began at a young age, enabling him to acquaint himself with the traditional wisdom of grape cultivation.

Arnold is well aware that the success of the enterprise hinges on the synergy between artistic innovation and sound organization. That's why he manages both the vineyard and the wine cellar, as well as handling financial and marketing matters – all of which he skillfully accomplishes with the strong support of his partner, Anna.
