Tasting Notes

Henderson Brewing Co. has unpacked hops and yeast in a way that delivers a double-whammy of fruity and spicy character to this classic style. This beer is a hazy, light coloured, fruity, spicy version of an American IPA.

Tasting notes:

Aroma: Orange juice, citrus pith, clove, bread dough.
Appearance: Straw to light gold. Hazy with white head.
Taste: Moderate bitterness up front followed by fruity notes and peppery/clove spice. Dry and refreshing.
Mouthfeel: Medium high body and moderate carbonation contribute to pillowy, almost creamy mouthfeel.
Overall Impression: A hazy, light-colored fruity spicy version of an American IPA. Think of Hoegaarden crossed with UPA.
Malts: Pale, torrified wheat, oats
Yeast: Escarpment Labs Belgian Wit Ale
Hops: Amarillo, Citra
Extras: Orange zest, Indian coriander seeds
