"Extremely perfumed and aromatic with rose petals, lavender and violets. Hints of fresh herbs to the blackcurrant fruit. Medium-to full-bodied with very fine tannins and a long, persistent finish. It goes on for minutes. I love the balance of this. Drink or hold."
95 Points - James Suckling, September 2022
"The 2020 Il Pino di Biserno is bold and ripe with creamy blackberry, candied cherry, spice and tarry smoke. There are pressed roses, blood oranges and tea leaves buried deep inside. The tannins are pronounced, but this full-bodied Tuscan red is almost ready to go straight out of the gate. The blend is Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc."
94 Points - Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, July 2022

Lodovico Antinori stumbled upon the land that would later become Tenuta di Biserno back in 1995 while scouting for new land to expand his winery, Ornellaia. Unlike Ornellaia, the terrain was noticeably hillier and rockier, prompting him to envision a separate project. Following the sale of Ornellaia, Lodovico Antinori and his brother Marchesi Piero Antinori embarked on creating Tenuta di Biserno, injecting fresh vitality into the remarkable estate. Situated in the hills of Bibbona in Western Tuscany, the estate spans 49 hectares, bordering the historic village of Bolgheri, with stunning vistas reaching out to the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Capitalizing on the diverse terroir and soil compositions, Lodovico opted to exclusively plant Bordeaux grape varieties. The combination of high density planting, marine sediment, clay soil, and sheltered north-west slopes creates optimal conditions for Merlot, while the higher elevation and gravelly terrain are well-suited for Cabernet Franc.
It's important to remember that taste is subjective, and personal preferences play a significant role.
