The Valtellina Superiore DOCG "Inferno Riserva" by Aldo Rainoldi represents the pinnacle of quality and expression of Nebbiolo, or Chiavennasca, grown in the extreme conditions of the "Inferno" sub-area of Valtellina. It is the result of a rigorous selection of the best Nebbiolo grapes, subjected to a careful winemaking process that aims to enhance the varietal peculiarities and the distinctive character of the terroir. On the nose, the wine reveals a complex and layered bouquet, with aromas of ripe red fruits, dried roses, spices, tobacco and a light trace of minerality, which together create a rich and enveloping olfactory experience. In the mouth, the wine expresses a powerful elegance, with a well-defined tannic structure and balanced acidity that supports its freshness. The flavors of cherry, plum and spices blend with balsamic and earthy notes, leading towards a long and persistent finish, characterized by a notable gustatory complexity and an aftertaste that invites reflection.
