Red cherry colour with ochre edges. Subtle and complex aroma, with notes of ripe black fruits, quince, dried apricot, orange peel and aromatic herbs. Dense, glyceric and tasty wine, with long aftertaste full of ripe fruits and liquor.

Proyecto Garnachas de España

The 'Spanish Garnacha Project' takes you on a journey through the rich history of Garnacha, as seen through the eyes of Raúl Acha, a passionate defender of this grape variety and a winemaker at Vintae. Raúl's exploration begins in his family's vineyards in Cárdenas, La Rioja, where his great-grandfather planted Garnacha vines over a century ago.

To highlight the significance of Garnacha, Raúl set out on a tour of the Ebro basin in search of similar cases of old Garnacha vineyards. Along the way, he discovered some of the vineyards that best capture the essence of this grape variety. Raúl engaged in conversations with various Garnacha winegrowers to delve into the local history of Garnacha and its evolution over time.

The outcome of this captivating adventure is a highly personal collection of single-varietal wines. Each wine eloquently expresses the versatility, nuances, and distinctive characteristics of its respective production area.
