"Softly pliant and silky, the Renato Ratti 2019 Langhe Nebbiolo Ochetti shows fine and nuanced detailing with lots of genuine and delicate character of the grape. The fruit is subtle in this wine, but the bouquet affords more room to crushed stone, blue flower and powdered licorice. The wine's finely shaped texture would work next to a simple plate of egg noodles and grated Parmigiano."

"The nose is classic rose petals, bright strawberries, and raspberries. This wine has notes of dried herbs and sour cherry."

'I have entered the world of winemaking having no family tradition to show. I feel this explanation is very important: it allowed me to approach Barolo without pride or prejudice, but with untamed freedom.' - Renato Ratti 1985
It is one of the most important, unique wineries in Piedmont. Renato Ratti was one of the most merited people in the history of the region, known for creating and promoting the Barolo designation. Renato Ratti was fond of saying that he takes on challenges in order to lead others in new directions. The vineyard is famous for the Barbera, Nebbiolo and Dolcetto varieties, used to make the highest-quality wines. Currently, the wineries are managed by the founder’s son, Pietro Ratti, who in 2018 was nominated for the Winemaker of the Year title by the Wine Enthusiast.
