The Producer

Domaine Robert Vic

The estate is located between Béziers and Agde, on the sunny lands of the Languedoc vineyards, Jérôme Vic, winemaker and Aurélie Vic, oenologist manage the Preignes le Vieux estate: an exceptional place managed for five generations.

The estate is built around Roman remains, with a villa dating from the year 804. Its strategic position makes us understand that the wine-growing activity could be impressive. Indeed, it was near the ancient ports and the Mediterranean basin. In 1906, François Bergon, ancestor of Jérôme built a new cellar in Preignes. The cellar uses state-of-the-art technologies, with temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and pneumatic presses, refrigeration units, etc.

With a team of 40 people, Jérôme and Aurélie continue to manage the domain. The vineyard is based on sustainable agriculture, respectful of the environment.

The terroir of the estate is located northwest of Vias, separated by the sea and the ancient volcano of Roque Haute. It benefits from a micro-climate and maritime influence. The vineyard is characterized by 18 different grape varieties. For the reds primarily: Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Alicante, Merlot… And for the whites: Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon, Colombard.
