Tasting Notes
This Meritage is a beautifully balanced wine from start to finish. The upfront aromas are nuanced and elegant with classic red cherry, dried floral and bright red fruit tones. After several minutes of airing, a classic Bordeaux-like structure is revealed with more powerful cassis, chocolate and dark berry fruit. The palate is very refined with a nice silky lushness that does not overwhelm the senses. The tannins seem to glide along the mid-palate making the wine structured and focused, but not too fussy. It's delicious yet easy drinking - two things that are of supreme importance with a Meritage wine. The finish is seamless and well integrated. Certainly this is a wine that will age beautifully and develop in the bottle for years to come.

Dry Creek Vineyard
Dry Creek Vineyard is one of the few remaining family-owned wineries in California. With nearly 50 years of grape growing and winemaking experience. When founder David Stare started Dry Creek Vineyard, he began the winery with a single-minded effort to offer the highest quality wine possible at a reasonable price. Dave realized that the success of the winery hinged upon providing that ‘something special’ in the bottle to keep customers coming back for more.
Today, the second generation continues to build upon those early-established values. Dave’s daughter and president of the winery, Kim Stare Wallace, is wholly committed to the quality of wine produced at Dry Creek Vineyard. The goal remains the same: to produce high quality wines while being mindful of the original vision of the winery.
