Tasting Notes
The McManis Family Vineyards Merlot is medium-ruby in color and abundantly fruit- forward. The wine opens with notes of blackberry, vanilla cream, and baking spices and leads into a mid-palate dominated by black fruit, closing with a pleasing, toasty finish.
"Lush dark berry, huckleberry, blueberry, chocolate cream, violet, black licorice and sweet cigar show on the nose. Flavors of full-bodied black cherry, sarsaparilla, blood-orange zest and savory herbs intertwine with mineral, dried tobacco leaf and a dry finish. Pair with lamb chops and spiced fruit chutney."
