Tasting Notes

Vibrant red colour with subtle purple hues. Fresh fruit nose of cherry and plum. A fleshy palate with lightness supported by fine acidity and juicy flavours of red fruits. Soft tannins and subtle oak complement the varietal fruit and follow through to a clean finish. A great wine to match with red meat, pasta and cheese.

Tall Poppy

Tall Poppy has been owned by the Peace family for 40 years. This ‘country retreat’ vineyard produced its first vintage in 1995 and a winery was born. Every vintage since has accompanied another chapter of family life – celebrations, milestones and happy memories. Nurtured from the rich Murray River bank soil, the vineyard was originally established in the 1960’s. Andrew Peace Wines has grown to be one of Australia’s largest family owned wineries. The winery is consistently among the top 20 performing Australian exporters and have won awards around the globe.
