Mondeuse Vin de Savoie by Domaine Romain Chamiot 2023

Mondeuse is a native grape varietal from the Savoie that is incredibly rare. Floral, smoky, peppery, and brimming with Alpine energy, Mondeuse this good, at this price, is unlike anything else on the planet. The nose is a mix of high-toned red fruits, a melange of bright strawberry, cherry, raspberry, pepper and spices. The palate has that same mix of red fruits and spices, but with soft tannins, and spellbinding freshness, it really is the total package, and is a wine I bought two cases of for myself.
