"Blackberries and blueberries with some raspberry, herbal and moss notes on the nose. It’s full-bodied with elegant tannins. Juicy and fleshy texture on the palate. Savory. Such balance. Flavorful finish. Blend of 99% merlot and 1% cabernet franc."

In the XVIth century, the wines of the Château Larcis Ducasse were much appreciated and sought after. In 1867, a gold medal awarded at the Universal Exhibition of Paris recognized the quality of wines produced on this exceptional terroir. Owned by the Gratiot Alphandery family, the Château benefits from the advice of Stéphane Derenoncourt and Julien Lavenu and allows Nicolas Thienpont to continue the efforts made to date to constantly increase the quality of the estate’s wines.
The vineyard is planted with 78% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. Vines are sorted manually. The grapes are gravity-fed and separated by variety and plot.
