Tasting Notes
If you want a wine that is comparable to a top chateauneuf du pape but at half the price, then this is it.
This meaty cuvee (Grenache, Carignan, Syrah grapes) pairs well with Steak, Lamb. Has big bold flavour. No wonder why it gets 93-96 points. It’s the cowboy with a big hat sitting on his horse overlooking the flock.
The vines are planted on a steep slope of schist and dark sharp rock… that gives a distinctive mineral character you won’t find anywhere else.
When tasting I get black raspberries, cassis, violets and graphite. As well as full-bodied richness, ultra-fine tannin and an undeniable sexiness that makes it impossible to resist.
