Tasting Notes

Fattoria Poggerino, in Chianti Classico's historic commune of Radda is run by Piero Lanza, who co-owns the 28-acre property with his sister, Benedetta. Planted with 20 different clones of Sangiovese, and a little Merlot for use in some other wines, the vineyard is organically farmed.

Nuovo Chianti Classico is vinified in concrete eggs, this is spicy and ripe with a satisfying earthiness. It's a dialed-in, well balanced Chianti Classico that begs for steak Florentine.
