Tasting Notes
Terra Rosa's ancient vineyards lie high on the slopes of the Andes in the Luján and Valle de Uco regions of Mendoza and produce deep and dark, spicy and aromatic wines that are full with ripe, juicy, black fruit flavors, and inviting, complex textures. The 2012 Terra Rosa is, as always, intensely dark, full, and rich. But in this vintage, as we have noted, the wine is suppler and rounder in the mouth, exudes a greater degree of dark fruit flavors, and is underlain with a minerality that keeps the fruitiness in check. The wine drinks great with hearty foods and, given its suppleness, can be enjoyed on its own.
