La Colombina

La Colombina is a quaint, family-operated estate spanning approximately 3 hectares, all officially recognized within the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG. The vineyards are strategically situated across various points in the Castelnuovo dell'Abate region, each imparting distinct characteristics to the grapes. Factors such as exposure (south/south-east), altitude (200/400 meters above sea level), soil composition (featuring detritus with a deep active layer in the valley and a mixed consistency, leaning towards clay, enriched with heavy stones on the hills), prevailing winds (consistent sea breezes), and the overall climate contribute to the unique terroir.

In the cellar, meticulous attention is given to managing processes that alleviate stress resulting from the movement of both grapes and wine. The entire journey culminates with the storage of the finalized bottles in boxes and/or crates, all meticulously maintained at a consistently controlled temperature.
