"From ancient vines planted in 1901 and 1925, tiny yield! In bottle. A pale crimson purple. The nose has a more volatile note, a lighter fresher fruit, but a pleasing finish. Tiny bunches. A little more difficult to assess today. Fine length though with greater purity."

Domaine Rebourgeon-Mure
Domaine Rebourgeon-Mure has been built up over generations. It is one of the oldest family properties in Pommard. An ancestor, Jean Bourgogne, settled there in 1552 and for 99 years leased the vines of the Sainte Marguerite de Bouilland Abbey, located in Pommard.
Currently, the property is spread over three communes: Pommard, Volnay and Beaune. They vinify thirteen different appellations, allowing the named places to express all the richness of the terroirs.
Their methods remain in line with ancestral traditions. It is meticulous and diligent work throughout the year, in the vineyards and in the cellars. Severe pruning in winter and debudding in May control yields well.
The soils are worked mechanically, without weedkiller, in order to preserve the life of the soil and these very beautiful terroirs. The harvest is manual, the wines then lowered into the cellars, the oldest of which dates from the beginning of the 17th century.
The aging takes place partly in new oak barrels and lasts 14 to 18 months depending on the vintages, before bottling.
In 2019, the Domaine obtained ‘Terra Vitis’ certification ‘The signature of French winegrowers who respect nature, people and wines’ and in 2021, the Domaine obtained certification ‘High Environmental Value’, ‘The promise of virtuous agriculture’.
