"The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos des Prouges comes from marn soils. This has a finely-tuned and more mineral-driven bouquet compared to Les Perrières, hints of yellow plum, Vervane tea and crushed stones emerging with time. The palate is structured with fine substance and grip, a twist of sour lemon and quite a long, lingering saline finish. This could turn into one of J-A Ferret's best 2020s."

Situated in the heart of Fuissé, Domaine Ferret has long been a producer of top Pouilly-Fuissé cuvées, and a benchmark for the region. Under the steadfast leadership of Madame Jeanne Ferret, it was the first domaine after World War II in Pouilly-Fuissé to move from bulk wine production to bottling on the estate, for greater control of quality. Its long-standing focus on vinifying each parcel of vines separately has allowed for the identification of the top terroirs.
Domaine Ferret’s estate vineyards are comprised of 18 hectares throughout the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation; 14 of these are located in the amphitheater of hills surrounding the town of Fuissé and 4 are near the Roche de Vergisson, in the north of the appellation. These terroirs and the relatively low yields, allow the production of exceptional cuvées. The vineyards are managed sustainably with an aim toward an even more rigorous respect for environmental concerns.
