The Producer

Fattoria Conca d'Oro

Fattoria Conca D'Oro is a charming, family-operated farm located just to the west of the historic city of Conegliano, situated along the scenic Prosecco wine route. The vineyards are strategically arranged in the shape of an amphitheatre, which gives rise to the name ‘Conca,’ meaning shell in Italian. This layout maximizes sun exposure and allows the grapes to ripen to perfection.

Prosecco, the effervescent wine renowned in northeastern Italy, hails from the Veneto region, specifically between the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. It's crafted using the Glera grape, a late-ripening white grape variety that on its own yields rather ordinary wine but transforms into something truly special when turned into a sparkling delight.

Prosecco is created using the Charmat method, where a second fermentation occurs in a pressurized tank prior to bottling. This differs from the Champagne method, in which bubbles form through a second fermentation inside the bottle. Nevertheless, the affordability of Prosecco makes it an excellent alternative to Champagne for those everyday moments when you want to celebrate.
