A product of the delicate, fruity, indigenous varietal Glera (formerly called Prosecco). Prosecco sparkling wine is produced using the Charmat Method, whereby the bubbles formed through a secondary fermentation are captured in special tanks, prior to bottling. Terre Gaie’s Prosecco DOC (Brut) is straw-yellow in color with greenish tints. It has a fresh and delicate bouquet with fruity aromas and hints of apple. In the mouth, the bubbles are very fine and persistent while quite elegant and lively. Consider this: Most Prosecco in our market is rated “extra-dry” rather than “brut”. In spite of its name, the classification extra-dry means that there is more residual sugar than is found in Terre Gaie’s Brut Prosecco. This means that Terre Gaie’s wine reflects a flavour profile closer to the typical Brut stylings of Cava and Champagne.
