"François Carillon characterises Champ Gain as his biggest 1er Cru holding but the least classy of them – still a fine wine though! Pale lemon and lime. Quite a striking bouquet after the relative reticence of the village wines. Chunky, a bit of bacon fat, attacks the palate very well, a little bit less behind, correct acidity and a long finish."
