"The 2014 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières is backward, minerally and aloof on the nose, but give it a couple of minutes in the glass and it reveals some lovely lime flower and wet granite scents. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry, lively from start to finish, so vivacious in the mouth that you think it is compensating for the backward aromatics. It fans out wonderfully on the finish that shimmers with energy. This is a sublime expression of the vineyard."
