Tasting Notes

The Les Meix vineyard is located near two very prestigious vineyards, 1er Cru Les Pucelles and the Grand Cru Batard Montrachet, the pedigree of the soil shows in this wine. Of all the wines from this domaine, I found this Puligny-Montrachet to be the most mineral-rich and savory. There is some pear but more like pears poached with a little tarragon in the syrup. There is a textural density that comes rolling through on the palate, spilling all that lovely herbed pear all over the palate and then there is a scrape of tingly acidity cuts right through and the wine folds into itself, perfectly.
