Deep purple hue with an enticing nose of cedar, red & blue berries some smoke and a hint of dried herb. The palate is rich and velvety full of fresh berry fruit and fine tannins. Finishes dry with good length. This wine will pair nicely with chicken or duck in a light, tangy currant or pomegranate sauce.
"Flat Rock Twisted 2020 is a rich, dry and fruit-driven red wine blend of mostly Gamay with 25% in Merlot and 3% in Pinot Noir grapes added to the mix. Grapes are sustainably grown and this juicy Niagara wine region red is terrific value at $20. Look for bright cherry, red cherry, savoury herbs, cracked black pepper and cedar brush spice flavours generous on the palate with a kiss of smoke balanced with vibrant acidity."

"Alluring aromas of dark cherry/berry fruit with savoury herbs and charred toast waft easily after a couple of gentle swirls. It’s light-on-its-feet with plenty of tang and acidity and a soft underpinning of ripe tannin. The palate’s treated to a mélange flavours with ripe black currant and black raspberry along with tang-infused red pie cherry. There’s persistent purity of fruit and plenty to like. It finishes lengthy, balanced and bountiful. Pour with a thick cut of beef steak, grilled medium-rare."
