The Clos Ibai winery started as a small project in 2014 in Rioja Alavesa, Spain and has been known for producing high-quality wines ever since. Over the years, the winery improved the quality of their grapes and their wines with constant experimentation, organic principles, and adherence to the very best vinification procedures to get the best out of terroir.
Clos Ibai employs organic and sustainable methods to protect the environment and the health of their vines. Some plots are certified biodynamic and some are in the process of conversion. The vines are of diverse ages ranging from young to some planted in 1955. The main types of grapes are Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha Tinta, Garnacha Blanca, Viura, Malvasia, and Calagraño. The best grapes are handpicked and taken for further processing with micro vinification to add character and personality. Each stage of production is followed with the utmost care for the wine to give justice to spectacular grapes.
