"A vibrant and rather youthful Rioja Reserva, a product of the abundant 2016 vintage. Featuring a nicely balanced level of alcohol, just the right amount of well-integrated oak spice to add intrigue to the palate but not to overshadow the fruit. Crunchy salinity with a lovely backbone of freshness. The tannins contribute grip are not severe. Excellent length. Great value."

The Producer

Viña Olabarri

Founded in 1985, the 100-year-old Anguciana winery (pictured below) was purchased by Pablo Olabarri. In 1990, his son Luis Olabarri took over the family estate and continues to oversee operations today. The main focus at the Olabarri estate is to make traditional age-worthy wines reflective of this special area in the “heart” of Rioja.
