Tasting Notes

"An exceptionally fresh, airy, elegant and bright floral-suffused nose features notes of cool blue pinot fruit, red currant, tea hints and a wonderful broad range of spice influences. The latter element carries over to the energetic, precise and beautifully intense medium-bodied flavors that possess a refreshing salinity on the understated, hugely long and impeccably well-balanced finish. As seductively textured as the mid-palate is now the finish makes it quite clear that this highly complex effort will need an ample amount of cellar time."

The Producer

Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux

A wine estate founded in 1858 in Vosne-Romanée, Florence Arnoux-Lachaux (daughter of Robert ARNOUX) is today at the head of the 14-hectare estate, with her eldest son Charles Lachaux. Both share a deep attachment to the family heritage entrusted by previous generations.

Since his arrival on the farm in 2011, Charles has instilled a new dynamic, by implementing regenerative agriculture, eco-grazing, biodynamics, goblet pruning, high trellising, and the complete cessation of trimming.

Whole-harvest vinification since 2012, short vatting and very little interventionist operating method. For the aging of the wines, sandstone containers have replaced all the oak barrels since the 2022 harvest.

With each evolution, the Domaine strives to translate the expression of the terroirs as well as possible, in order to produce ‘Pinot Noir’ of emotion and pleasure.
