Jean-Pierre Moueix Saint-Emilion is produced from a careful selection of wines from some of the best vineyard sites of the appellation, including the Jean-Pierre Moueix family estates.
Elegant, bright and balanced, Jean-Pierre Moueix Saint-Emilion is a fresh introduction to this historic terroir.
The region’s unique soil structure and microclimate are expressed in the finished wine’s textural finesse and aromatic complexity. Vibrant ruby red, the intense, complex nose presents notes of cherry, strawberry, and light tobacco. The palate is powerful and inviting with smooth, silky tannins. A very satisfying expression of Merlot.

The Producer
Jean-Pierre Moueix
Jean-Pierre Moueix, was a Bordeaux négociant and chateau owner who first made the world aware of what is now one of the most fabled of that region's properties, Château Pétrus. Founded in 1937, the châteaux is run by Christian and Edouard Moueix who continue Jean-Pierre's legacy representing some of the greatest vineyards on the right bank of Bordeaux. They own and manage several prestigious crus including, Château Pétrus, Château Trotanoy and Château Hosanna in Pomerol; Château Bélair-Monange Premier Grand Cru Classé in Saint-Émilion and, Dominus Estate and Ulysses in Napa Valley, California.
