"The nose is fruity and offers a nice pulpy/generous fruit. It reveals notes of luscious blackcurrant, luscious blackberry and slight hints of tangy blueberry associated with touches of violet, slight hints of star anise, an imperceptible hint of Madagascar pepper and an imperceptible hint of aromatic herbs. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, smoothness, a little greediness, a certain roundness/gluttony, generosity, pulpiness and a pretty acidulous flesh. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of luscious/juicy blackberry, blueberry and slight notes of crushed redcurrant associated with touches of luscious/bright strawberry as well as hints of violet, blueberry, tonka bean, discreet hints of vanilla. Good length. The tannins are precise and a little firm. Good length."
Vert de Vin, May 2021
Clos de la Cure and its sister property of Château Milon represent seven generations of viticultural heritage. With the purchase of 4.5 additional hectares in 2008, situated on superb gravel terroir, the estate increased to 18 hectares, averaging 30 years of vine age. The Bouyer family farms ecologically with great respect for the Grand Cru terroir. For this commitment, the estate has earned the demanding ‘Haute Valeur Environnementale’ certification, one of the first in Saint Emilion to do so.
