Tasting Notes
This wine shows a beautiful balance between finesse and body. Pretty and fragrant with flavours highlighting raspberry, strawberry and black currants, with fine tannins and a hint of vanilla. Can accompany meals of pork or chicken, but also has enough structure to stand up to beef or lamb dishes.
Maladière takes its name from malady, referring to sickness. Long ago the property was a spa for a leper colony, because the hill gets warm afternoon sun that was thought to be particularly beneficial to health. Stylistically, it is known to produce the most feminine wines, with perfume and elegance.

The Producer
Domaine Prieur Brunet
This family estate was created in 1804 in Santenay. It took its current name in 1955, following the union of Guy Prieur and Elisabeth Brunet. Extending over 20 ha, in the Côte de Beaune, the estate, under the leadership of Guillaume, representing the eighth generation, regularly establishes itself as one of the references of Santenay.
