Tasting Notes

Pale yellow color with green reflections. Rich and complex nose of citrus with hints of passion fruit, lychee, citrus and even boxwood.. This follows through on the bright palate with lively acidity, minerality and a long finish.

The Producer

Vignoble Drouard

This family business, created in 1878, is run by the 5th generation of the Drouard family. Passing the winegrowing tradition from father to son, the four brothers – Jean-Paul, Laurent, Denis and Pascal – tend to this magnificent Domaine located in the Maine river basin in Château-Thébaud, near Nantes. The company has recently been strengthened by the arrival of Clément and Tom, representing the sixth Drouard generation.

The vineyard is composed of around 80 ha of vines divided into about ten 'islands', most of which are less than 2 km from the winery. With 3 great terroirs, and a wide range of AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée), Muscadet, IGP (Indication Géographique Protégée), Val de Loire, white, rosé, red and sparking wines.
