"Remoissenet's 2018 Savigny-Les-Beaune Les Serpentières 1er Cru is gracious and lifted, with lovely inner perfume that matches its airy personality nicely. Dried cherry, mint and sweet floral accents all open up in the glass. The aromatics are especially appealing here."
Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media, May 2020

Founded in 1877, Remoissenet Pere & Fils resides in a charming 14th-century building in Beaune. Under Roland Remoissenet's dynamic leadership for 30 years, he earned praise as one of Burgundy's most captivating winemakers from renowned critic Robert Parker. Bernard Répolt, the former president of Louis Jadot, now manages the domaine, overseeing significant cellar investments and continuous expansion of prime vineyard holdings.
With 2.5 hectares of biodynamically worked Premier Cru plots in Beaune, the domaine focuses on prized sites like Bressandes, Marconnets, and Grèves. They also source top-quality fruit from Baron Thénard's Montrachet holdings and the Lanvin family's Côte de Nuits vineyards. The winery's non-interventionist philosophy is evident in meticulous hand sorting of grapes, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and aging in 350-liter oak barrels, with a higher percentage of new barrels for Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines.
Renowned for age-worthy whites like Montrachet Grand Cru, Remoissenet's reds, such as Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, sourced from 70-year-old Pinot Fin vines, showcase unique characteristics. The domaine's distinguishing feature is its extensive wine library dating back to the 1950s, 60s, and 70s—a rarity in Burgundy. This collection offers a compelling opportunity for collectors and Burgundy enthusiasts, sold at reasonable prices.
