The Pion family is renowned in France and across the global wine community for their unwavering commitment, deep passion, and wholehearted dedication. These qualities have allowed them to distribute some of the most celebrated Burgundy estates since 1950.
Today, Pion 'le meilleur du vin' represents over 300 family-owned vineyards. In a significant decision, Oliver and Christian Pion, after six decades of distributing wines from others, also embarked on a journey to become winemakers themselves. Through this endeavour, they aim to carry forward their family's values by creating a line of exquisite Burgundy wines bearing their own name.
Following a series of experiments with the 2012 vintage, they introduced the 'Racines Croisées' (Crossed Roots) collection in the autumn of 2014 with the 2013 vintage. The primary objective of this venture is to provide a carefully curated selection of vineyard plots primarily situated in the Côte d’Or, offering impeccable quality at a reasonable price point for wine enthusiasts.
It's important to remember that taste is subjective, and personal preferences play a significant role.
