We collaborated with Knob Creek to bring you a special WineOnline edition Cask Strenght Single Barrel Select Bourbon like no other. We are proud to share one barrel from this highly unique and incredibly prestigious program with you.

This is a profoundly custom, pre-prohibition style, cask strength Kentucky Bourbon. We were given the choice after tasting through a number of barrels before we landed on this one, and it was a clear choice. These single barrels are so limited, that the term "Small-Batch" doesn't even really apply, most small batch runs rotate the barrels and rackhouses through the ageing process to ensure a more consistent flavour across the board, but this couldn't be further from the case here. This Bourbon spent 10 years in the same barrel, occupying the same space in the same rackhouse for the duration, making it a truly unique expression, one that we love and hope you do to.

Cask Strength whisky is not to be taken lightly, at 120 proof, it has a lot to say, and searching for the right balance is the key to enjoying it. This threads the needle and lands squarely in the middle—a "Goldilocks Zone" of balance, refinement and flavour. This balance dials back the intensity (insofar as a cask strength will be restrained) and despite the high alcohol content, is smooth through the palate with a nice lift of honey and caramel, complimented with just the right brightness after a decade in the wood.
