Tasting Notes

Syrah hails from the top of Timo's Bloody Hill vineyard, great exposure makes for sunshine filled fruit. As always is the Timo way, fermented as 100% whole bunches - graphite, iron and some delightfully plump blackberry fruits. German born but Yarra stalwart Timo Mayer is the crazy king of carbonic maceration! Anyone who has met this person knows the kind of joyful madness that can ensue after drinking these wonderful wines. Even if you haven’t, you’ll feel it in the energy of the wines for sure.
