Tasting Notes
This is the beer that Tawse winemaker Paul Pender wants to drink after harvesting grapes for 14 hours.
Tasting notes:
- Aroma: Bread dough, toast, biscuits, and water crackers. Slight fruitiness.
- Appearance: Light Copper/amber with orange and red streaks. Crystal clear. Persistent white head that leaves a bit of lacing on the glass.
- Taste: Bread crust and pretzel malt character upfront, with a soft minerality and slight hop bitterness on the quite dry finish. No hop flavour.
- Mouthfeel: Medium body and medium carbonation. Goes down smooth and easy, encouraging another sip
- Overall Impression: A sesionable, malt-forward, low gravity lager.
- Malts: Vienna, Pilsner, Munich, Carafoam, Carafa
- Yeast: Copenhagen Lager
- Hops: Magnum, Hallertau Mittlefruh
