For nearly a century, Recaredo has upheld a steadfast dedication: crafting terroir wines that faithfully and transparently mirror the landscapes of Alt Penedès in Barcelona. They exclusively produce vintage brut nature sparkling wines, each imbued with a distinctive character developed through extensive aging.
Recaredo's sparkling wines have established a truly distinctive style characterized by elegance and subtlety. Every phase of the winemaking process, from the vineyards to the winery and cellars, undergoes rigorous scrutiny and certification by the independent verification body Bureau Veritas. This meticulous process underscores Recaredo's unique identity as both grape growers and winemakers.
The family's mosaic of vineyards thrives in the Corpinnat territory, the birthplace of exceptional sparkling wines in the historic winegrowing region of Penedès, located south of Barcelona. In the late 19th century, the traditional method of winemaking for sparkling wines was initiated in this region.
The predominantly calcareous terrain features diverse landscapes dominated by the imposing presence of Montserrat mountain. Recaredo embraces biodynamic practices, surpassing conventional organic farming. This progressive approach brings them closer to life, emphasizing the ongoing pursuit of balance in the ecosystem and a deep respect for biodiversity. By eschewing chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and fungicides in favour of natural elements, Recaredo firmly believes that capturing the essence of the landscape in their wines is only possible when the land itself is cared for and respected.
It's important to remember that taste is subjective, and personal preferences play a significant role.
