Deep colour. Young, expressive nose showing a bouquet of red and black fruits and floral undertones. Supple mouthfeel with soft stuffing, melted tannins and notable fruit. A good classic Cahors that is already very enjoyable.
This is not a typical Chilean or Argentinian Malbec - much lighter in body. This wine is very good drinking now, and excellent value. I've put a few away because I think they will be really terrific in a couple more years, with maybe 5-7 years of age (hopefully I can resist that long). (Posted on 4/7/2017)
