We are thrilled to announce our next wine event, pairing the Iconic wines of Andrea Cortonesi (Uccelliera and Voliero), with my favourite wine club in the country. Over the years we've saved small quantities of Andrea’s wines in the hopes of doing a back vintage tasting of both his Brunellos paired with beautifully made classical Tuscan food. Andrea’s wines have quickly become cult favourites amongst the cognoscenti, having only begun production in 1991. Tucked away in the southeast corner of the appellation in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, the soil here is loose and stony which when coupled with a warm microclimate gives the wines of Uccelliera a rich and ripe expression, vintage after vintage. He is tireless in his approach to winemaking, with all vineyard work done exclusively by hand. Each time we visit he and his wife Paola cook for us and serve incredible back vintages of their wines. It is with their hospitality in mind, that we are now bringing you the opportunity to do the same.

I have personally worked with the head chef at the Yorkville location of the Vintage Conservatory to craft a menu perfectly suited to these wines. We will begin with a light Champagne reception to get our palates firing on all cylinders and will then sit down to a 5 course tasting menu of simple and classic Tuscan fare. Our team of sommeliers and I will be on hand to ensure service is perfect, and we will be pouring all the wines in hand blown Gabriel glassware to ensure you get the most out of every glass. This simply put is a marriage of artisanal food and wine that is not to be missed, and may never be repeated again.

The Vintage Conservatory is a private members' club for wine enthusiasts seeking to entertain and do business whilst enjoying bottles from their own collections. The VC provides a secure, welcoming and controlled setting for like minded individuals to share their passion for wine, wine education and renowned private dining.
