Tasting Notes
"Colpaola, a tiny estate with the highest vineyards of the denomination, makes just one version of Verdicchio di Matelica. Fruit is fermented and stored in stainless steel only, to highlight the vivid primary fruit characters of the variety. Notes of pear, apricot and grapefruit plus hints of marzipan and preserved lemon are balanced by glorious zingy acidity, a long, flinty, mineral-toned finish and a final flourish of freshly chopped tarragon."
