Producer : Bodega Luzdivina Amigo
Region : Bierzo (Spain), Spain (Spain)
Bottle Per Case : 12 x 750 ml
Sourced from 100+ year-old, pre-phylloxera Mencia bush vines. Inky ruby. Spicy, mineral-accented bouquet evokes dark berry preserves, sassafras and potpourri, with a smoky nuance in the background. Bright and racy on entry, then broader in the middle, offering sweet red and dark berry flavors and a touch of bitter chocolate. Finishes taut and linear, with slow-building tannins and impressive length.

Bodega Luzdivina Amigo incorporates small plots or leiros between 50 and 100 years old. The diversity of the soils and the climate create an ideal environment for the vines to develop. They cultivate the Mencía and Godello grape varieties and have recovered old vines from Jerez, Doña Blanca and Garnacha Tintorera.
The average annual temperature is 13OC, rainfall reaches 800 mm/year and the average sunshine is 2,200 hours/year. These factors significantly influence the crop, giving rise to very fresh and fruity wines, with a mineral and long-lived character.
