This organic wine is made from Garnacha Tinta from vineyards located in la Plana de Gandesa, in well-drained soil terraces with low yields. In the cellar, two different wine-making processes are combined. The first, with cold maceration of grapes to obtain all of Grenache's fruitiness; and the second, a more traditional method, with riper grapes to achieve a more complex structure. Aged in 300-litre French oak barrels for 6 months.
The final wine is an intense red, with violet hues. Fresh and young red fruits are beautifully integrated with spice and soft tannins. The finish is refreshing and smooth.

Joan Àngel Lliberia, Edetària’s heart and soul, started Edetària’s adventure after studying Agricultural Engineering and taking a Master of Science in Wine Management at the Office International de la Vigne et du Vin.
He first worked with several wine companies in France; then moved back to Catalunya, where he continued his career in the wine sector. His childhood amongst the vineyards, grapes, and cellars, plus his passion for wine called him back to his origins to set up Edetària.
Making true terroir wines out of his family vineyards in a genuine style is a dream come true. And an homage to his grandfather Llorens (an oenologist) and his parents Pepita and Angel (both viticulturers).
Edetària produces authentic wines with indigenous grapes, searching the purest soil expression, and restoring the value of old vines thanks to organic winemaking. Wine belongs to a terroir and its main aim is to display the expression of soil, climate and a way of being. Thus Edetària is fully committed to respect nature and sustainable practices in search of Terra Alta authenticity.
Edetària makes wines with its own personality, out of deep terroir knowledge and strict winemaking, but also allowing room for inspiration, and experimenting freely for the sake of creativity.
