We believe that great wine needs great food to showcase its true potential. We have spent the summer planning a series of wine pairing dinners to allow you to meet the people behind the wines you love and showcase this fact. We knew we had to start strong, and are bringing Ricardo Arambarri Perez of VINTAE (makers of Lopez de Haro, Matsu, and many others) to come and showcase some of his top wines. Some of these wines so are rare that they will only be available for ordering at this event.

Bar Isabel, known for its Spanish-inspired menu and charming Barcelona taverna atmosphere is a regular fixture on Canada's 100 Best Restaurants list and the recent recipient of the prestigious Wine Spectator’s 2019 Award of Excellence. The Little Italy restaurant offers a cozy old-world vibe with Spanish sharing plates, creative cocktails and a quality curated wine list.

Executive Chef and co-owner Grant van Gameren is one of Canada’s best-known chefs and restaurateurs and is at the helm of some of the city’s top restaurants and bars. Operating 11 properties (and counting), van Gameren’s offerings span many regions and cuisines, but Bar Isabel is often regarded as the restaurant that started it all.
